Alumni Story - Martin and Robert featured in the ACE Mentor Program newsletter.

JUNE 6, 2025

We’re honored to be featured in this month’s ACE Mentor Program newsletter alongside Robert Fritz of DM Construction.

“Over 20 years ago, Martin Goldstein, Managing Principal at Venture Architecture, was actively involved in establishing an ACE Program in Colorado. His role partly included creating lesson plans for mentors to use in their ACE sessions. He also served as a mentor to Robert Fritz, a JFK High School student from 2004 to 2006. Robert later attended the University of Colorado, majoring in Architecture. Both he and Martin maintained their connection over all of those years. After working at notable architecture and later general construction firms, Robert has risen to be the Vice President of Sales and Operations at DM Construction.

About a year ago, Martin and Robert began discussing Venture Architecture’s new headquarters. It involved building a brand new, high end building. Early on, they established a professional partnership, with Robert’s firm handling advising on the masonry work and exterior waterproofing. Robert has been instrumental in advising Martin on pricing and exterior design details for those parts of the building. In addition, they’re collaborating on the rest of the exterior envelope, which includes a recycled wall panel.

From architectural intern to VP at an exterior envelope company, Robert bridges design and construction. He leads a team at DM supporting general contractors in critical ways. A former ACE scholarship recipient (2006) and mentor at JFK High School (2012–2013), his story comes full circle, the student now teaches the mentor, and he couldn’t be prouder.”
