August 17, 2022

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Global Conference is a yearly forum where a community of passionate educators, comprised of experts from a variety of industries and fields, “gather and engage in robust discussions and share fresh ideas and best practices for education.”

This year’s conference in San Diego, themed ‘Embracing Innovation, Inspiring Action,’ featured a variety of keynote speakers, presenters, community voices and attendees from across the world, as well as over 100 sessions over a five-day period.

Our very own Martin Goldstein was selected to present on our International School of Denver (ISDenver) project with the school’s principal, Rob Kapner. Over the last two years, Venture Architecture has partnered with the school to create the first stage of their Master Plan as well as the school’s newest facility, the Mary Louise Evans Building.

The goal of the design was to create inspiring spaces for students aimed at promoting stronger agency, action and engagement. The result is a versitle facility that allows students to choose from a variety of spaces to match learning objectives. Students have options for working alone, in teams or entire classes.

“Educational design has a unique ability to inspire imagination and creativity and foster an optimal learning environment if the Architects are very well informed about the school’s community, program, and culture,” said Martin. “I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to present ISDenver’s Project and how share Venture’s process tailored the new building tailored to fit the school.”
