The George Symes Building is important to Downtown Denver. It was completed in 1906 to replace the original building on the site and is one of the first to use a steel structure in Denver. Having been well maintained over the course of its life, The George retains the proper “bones” for an adaptive reuse conversion. Also, its footprint is ideal for a multi-family use. With its storied past in mind, this 8-story, formerly “office” building will be transformed into 116 meticulously crafted dwelling units.
