Montessori Peaks

Montessori Peaks Academy and Jefferson County School District

Venture had the pleasure of working with Montessori Peaks Academy and Jefferson County School District to convert an existing church into additional educational space for MPA’s Homeschool Enrichment and Middle School Programs. The project overcame many challenges as the team worked effortlessly to bring a vacant church up to new code, educational, and jurisdictional standards. The site gained new connectivity with its adjacent sister school, accessibility and life safety upgrades, classroom spaces that utilize existing skylight locations, enlarged hallways, huddle spaces sprinkled throughout for small team collaboration, and much more. Throughout the process, Venture worked closely with the MPA team to explore and maintain Montessori’s philosophies and insure they are reflected in the final product.

Creek House

Creek House

This project included a 3,500-square-foot remodel and a new 1,500 new square feet of living space, including a new wing and re-engineered attic space for grandchildren to play and sleep. Our goal was to reveal the existing house in a new way, blurring the line between inside and outside through a series of intentional connections. The grounds feature a beautiful, meandering creek lined with cobblestone walls, and the design brought this amazing scenery into the house. The result is a supremely warm and natural experience for the homeowners and their guests.

Albion Street

Albion Street

This remodel required converting a separate four-car garage into a habitable living space equipped with a new kitchen, dining room and family room.  By connecting this newly usable space to the existing home, we were able to transform the primary residence into the private side of the home, while also creating additional space and headroom upstairs.
