High School Addition

Classical High School Addition Concept

This concept entails the expansion of an existing middle school campus with the construction of a new two-story, 58,000-square-foot addition. The new facility will feature classrooms, state-of-the-art gymnasium, fully equipped locker rooms, and a versatile presentation theater to support both educational and extracurricular activities.

Designed in the timeless Jeffersonian architectural style, the addition will incorporate classical design elements such as symmetrical layouts, brick facades, columned entrances, and traditional detailing to harmonize with the school’s existing aesthetic while elevating its visual presence. The design pays homage to the principles of Thomas Jefferson’s architectural legacy, blending functionality with elegance to create an inspiring environment for students and staff.

Concept – HS Gym Addition

High School Gym & Classroom Addition - Concept Design

Venture explored and created an Upper School Concept for a prospective client. It involved the selective demolition of an existing portion of the building to make way for a new 20,000-square-foot addition. The new construction would house a state-of-the-art gymnasium, modern locker room facilities, and flexible classroom spaces designed to support both academic and athletic programming as well as a roof top community space with mountain views. The addition is strategically planned to enhance the overall functionality of the building while improving circulation and integrating seamlessly with the existing structure. The design prioritizes durability, accessibility, and sustainability, creating a dynamic environment that supports the evolving needs of students and staff.

Venture’s New Office

Venture's New Office on Pearl St. - Delivery Summer 2025

After calling 535 E Mexico Ave. home for nearly two decades, the Venture Team has thrived and flourished through everything from the 2008 Housing Crisis to the 2020 pandemic. Which brings us to our next chapter. While our physical location won’t change, we will be replacing the current building with a new two-story, 3,200 sf building to better cater to the firm’s needs. The design was carefully crafted to pay tribute to the character of South Pearl St. and to preserve the same welcoming atmosphere our clients and neighbors have grown accustomed to over the last 18 years.

The George

The George

The George Symes Building is important to Downtown Denver. It was completed in 1906 to replace the original building on the site and is one of the first to use a steel structure in Denver. Having been well maintained over the course of its life, The George retains the proper “bones” for an adaptive reuse conversion. Also, its footprint is ideal for a multi-family use. With its storied past in mind, this 8-story, formerly “office” building will be transformed into 116 meticulously crafted dwelling units. This  includes state-of-the-art amenity spaces and retail on the first floor. Located in the heart of the 16th St Mall, this conversion will be a strategic component in revitalizing Downtown Denver.
