The George Symes Building is important to Downtown Denver. It was completed in 1906 to replace the original building on the site and is one of the first to use a steel structure in Denver. Having been well maintained over the course of its life, The George retains the proper “bones” for an adaptive reuse conversion. Also, its footprint is ideal for a multi-family use. With its storied past in mind, this 8-story, formerly “office” building will be transformed into 116 meticulously crafted dwelling units. This includes state-of-the-art amenity spaces and retail on the first floor. Located in the heart of the 16th St Mall, this conversion will be a strategic component in revitalizing Downtown Denver.

Broomfield, CO | 190,000 SF | 22 Month Design and Construction Duration
Located within Oracle’s Broomfield campus, the 190,000-square-foot space will transform an existing building into Crocs’ “Home for Work.” Plans for the new space will more than double Crocs’ current footprint to accommodate the company’s 450+ new team members. Renovations will emphasize the company’s culture of collaboration and openness, reflecting Crocs’ values of democracy, comfort, and simplicity.
The design inspiration seeks to maximize opportunities for the Crocs team to collaborate, gather, and team build in the social hubs of the building, including the lounge, huddle spaces, and coffee counters. These features come together to compose a natural flow throughout the space that connects teams across departments, aligning with Crocs’ spirit of partnership.
